This is my developed design. As previously mentioned, I have made the victory rolls closer to the head rather than them being so far out. I have also changed the position of the snood, making it lower down to the ear revealing the top part of the head. I also added a ribbon as I think this makes it more feminine and it would have also been used to tighten the snood to fit the head.

I am really happy with my face chart, I have designed exactly what I wanted to portray. I have even added makeup on the design to show the style I am going for. I want a bright red lip and winged eyeliner as this is how many women of the 40s started to wear their makeup.

Background: Jean is a wife and mother of two who had to take over the husbands factory job whilst he joined armed forces and fought in the war. She is family orientated and receives minimal pay for the manual labour and hard work she put in and she always made sure dinner was on the table for her family. She's the type of person to make sure her family is happy before herself.
I have created a character profile as I don't just want to design a wig, I want to create a character. This is how I imagined her to be and to look like and I want this to reflect throughout my photographs.
